    Abstract Deep drawing process is sheet metal forming process. In deep drawing process, a limiting value of blank diameter is investigation in order to avoid failure during the drawing process. The limiting value of blank can be obtained by increasing the blank diameter in steps keeping other parameters like punch diameter, blank holding force, die diameter, clearance between punch and die, friction coefficient between interfaces and blank materials constant. Limiting Draw Ratio (LDR) is defined as the ratio of maximum blank diameter to punch diameter for successfully drawn cup. For successfully drawn cup, the value of LDR is investigated by experimental and analytical method but the values of LDR obtained by these methods have big difference between them. The value of LDR can also be found out by Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software ABAQUS and this value of LDR is very close to experimental value. So with the help of ABAQUS software, investigation LDR is easier and reduces experimental setup cost, time and blank material wastes. In present work the investigation of limiting draw ratio in deep drawing for elastic material with the help of ABAQUS software has been presented. For the analysis purpose Aluminum alloy, AA5754-O, has been selected because it has good drawability. Keywords- Deep Drawing, LDR, FEA, ABAQUS FEA Software.
